McCready apologizes for affair with sports star

Country singer Mindy McCready has issued an apology for her affair with baseball ace Roger Clemens to his wife.

In an interview with the New York Daily News last April, McCready confirmed the two began a 10-year affair when he was 28 and married with two children, and she was underage, a claim 46-year-old Clemens continues to deny.

On Monday, the singer, now 32, denied claims she ended their relationship because Clemens wouldn't marry her; and she's asking for forgiveness from his wife, Debbie.

McCready tells TV reporters at Inside Edition, "I have nothing but remorse and... sympathy for what she's had to go through with this situation, and she has my utmost apology."
